We often talk about digital payments as if cash is fading away.

The data suggests otherwise.

From paper-based banking transactions:
~21–24 million transactions per quarter
≈ 7–8 million per month
Now adjust for reality:
Banks in Pakistan operate mostly 5 days a week
→ ~20–22 working days per month
👉 That means:
~320,000 – 380,000 cash deposits happening every single working day
