One Car Out of Every Two Sold in Pakistan Is a Suzuki.
Pakistan’s car market continues to show a striking concentration — both in brands and models.
According to the Gallup Pakistan Digital Analytics Automobile Dashboard, about 136,000 cars have been sold in 2025 so far, while production stands at around 145,000 units, indicating supply and demand are broadly aligned.

But the real story lies in who dominates the market.
Suzuki controls nearly 59% of the entire car market, meaning almost 6 out of every 10 cars sold in Pakistan carry the Suzuki badge.
It is followed by:
• Toyota — about 24%
• Honda — about 15%
Together, these three companies account for more than 97% of car sales in Pakistan.
At the model level, the dominance becomes even clearer.
The Suzuki Alto alone makes up about 41% of all cars sold in the country. In other words, two out of every five cars sold in Pakistan are Altos.
This reveals an important reality about Pakistan’s automobile economy:
demand is overwhelmingly concentrated in small, affordable vehicles.
Monthly sales also show how sensitive the sector is to economic conditions. For example, June recorded around 17,600 units sold, while July fell sharply to just over 7,100 units.
The takeaway is simple:
Pakistan is still largely a small-car market dominated by a few players, where affordability drives demand and economic cycles quickly influence sales.
And for now, the Suzuki Alto remains the undisputed king of Pakistan’s roads. 🚗
