Why Do Banana Prices in Pakistan Rise and Fall Without a Clear Season?

A look at the Banana (1 dozen) price series from the Gallup Pakistan Digital Analytics inflation tracker shows a pattern that is quite different from many agricultural commodities.

Instead of a predictable seasonal cycle, banana prices appear to move in irregular waves.

Across the time series:
Prices move frequently up and down, sometimes sharply from one month to the next.
The month-to-month change chart shows repeated spikes and dips, both positive and negative.
These movements do not occur at the same time each year, suggesting the pattern is not strongly seasonal.

Why do we witness such volatility?

Does modern retail has a solution to this?

Would such a solution be overall in social interest?
