Every vote cast is a voice in Pakistan’s democratic journey – but who are the people behind the
ballots? A closer look at voter demographics reveals not just political participation, but the
evolving makeup of a nation. Pakistan’s electorate now exceeds 128 million registered voters.
The gender voter split is divided reasonably, with 53.87% Male voters and 46.13% Female
voters, highlighting gender parity in the electorate.
Age dynamics further enrich the picture. The largest voting bloc belongs to citizens aged 26–35,
comprising 25.93% of the electorate, followed by the 36–45 age group at 22.36%.

This
reinforces Pakistan’s long-standing status as a young democracy, with over 66% of voters under
the age of 45. Yet, within each age group, gender gaps persist. In the 18–25 bracket, women
account for just 39.67% of voters. While the gap shrinks with age, near-parity is only reached in
the 65+ group – perhaps more due to longevity than policy.
