39% of Pakistanis in age 10+ have never been to a school!

While the number is very stark and grim there are some glimmers of hope here.

In age group 10-14 , the number falls to 19% . We have a very poor baseline . In age 50+ (people who had their school age in 1970’s) , 66% never went to school.

This is still a very large number and it should have come down and should be zero . But the trajectory is positive.

The major problem spots are

1/ Balochistan
2/ Interior Sindh
3/ South Punjab
4/ South KP

These areas combined are almost 30% of Pakistan’s population .
